Quick Registration has been started - Admission 2025-26 | Gujarat University

Under the admission process for the academic year 2025-2026, all students will be able to complete their quick registration on the GCAS portal free of cost for admission into 15 state Government Universities and their affiliated Government, Grant-in-Aid and Self-Financed Colleges, and University Departments.

Process for students to complete quick registration:
Students who wish to complete their quick registration must follow the steps outlined below.

Visit the GCAS Portal: Go to the GCAS portal at https://gcas.gujgov.edu.in/ or scan the QR code.

By visiting the GCAS portal or scanning the QR code, the homepage of GCAS will open. You will need to click on the Apply Now button.

Quick Registration Window:

After clicking on "Apply Now," a Quick Registration window will open. In this window, you will need to fill in the required details as per the instructions.

1. Course Type: Please select the course you wish to enrol in. For example, if you wish to pursue a Bachelor's degree (B.A.), select Under Graduate. If you wish to enrol in a Master's degree (M.A.), select Post Graduate.

2. APAAR ID (ABC ID): If you have an APAAR ID (ABC ID), please enter it here.

3. Name as per Mark sheet: Please enter your name exactly as it appears on your SSC/HSC mark sheet or equivalent exam certificate.

4. Caste: Choose the caste applicable to you based on the certificate issued by the competent authority. If you belong to the open category, select General.

5. Gender: Please select your applicable gender from the options provided.

6. Date of Birth: Please enter your date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format as per your school leaving certificate or SSC mark sheet.

7. Consent for Communication: If the student wants to receive information about various initiatives of the Education Department, Government of Gujarat on their mobile or email, then the student can click on the check box.

8. Mobile Number and Email ID: Please enter your active mobile number and email ID. You will receive separate OTPs on both. Ensure that both your mobile number and email ID are operational until the completion of the admission process.

9. OTP and Form Submission: After filling in all the necessary details, click on the Get OTP button. You will receive two separate OTPs, one on your email ID and one on your mobile number. Enter both OTPs, then enter the captcha code and click on the Submit button.

10. Username and Password: After successfully completing the quick registration process, GCAS will send you a unique login ID (username) and password to your registered email ID and mobile number. You will need these credentials to log in and fill out the admission form on GCAS. Keep this login ID (username) and password safe for future reference.
